You can reach Krakow by direct flight to Balice international airport with bus shuttle to the city center (20-30 min) and train to the Main Railway Station (15 minutes). This airport, has direct connection with major European cities. An alternative option is an international airport Okecie in Warszawa, followed by domestic flight or an hourly intercity train service to Krakow (covering the 300 km in 2h 40 min, but you need to allow another hour to get a bus or a taxi from the airport to the railway station).
Another, alternative is to fly directly to Katowice international airport, which operates regular shuttle-bus to Krakow centre (1h 30min). It is also possible to reach Krakow by international train or bus. There are many connections with major European cities.
